The last time I visited Livermore, I stayed in the Motel 6 in that area. While on my way to the motel, I noticed that there were lots of big 5-star hotels in the same area. That was alright with me, as my room was insulated enough to ward off most of the noise the barking dogs made. I walked around the area outside the motel later that morning and was happy to find a well-stocked 7-11 store right beside the motel. There was even a pathway connecting the two buildings.

The hotel pool was also nice, as I took a swim in it that afternoon. The motel staff was friendly and they smiled each time they greeted me during my stay.
